Beers, wines and nibbles

Beers

Members' tastes vary widely and we therefore try to provide as broad a range of "real ales" as possible. In recent times, with social events being restricted, the supply of beers in smaller volumes has become more important. 'Bag in a Box' beers (BIBs) have helped to solve that problem. The beer in a BiB keeps well for up to a maximum of 14 days from delivery so we aim to have them delivered as near as possible to the day they are required. Another advantage is that the waste from each BiB is about 1 pint, significantly less than from a barrel.

Because of the reduced use of the bar at present, there may also be a more limited range than normal. Real Ales now available. However, Exeter Brewery has been visited recently and we now stock their Avocet and Ferryman real ales. We have also signed up with Dartmoor Brewery so their very popular Legend will be available. We already know that Yellowhammer and Firefly from Hanlon's are popular, and the fact that Avocet and Ferryman sold out quickly suggests these two beers were also appreciated. Legend we've had before on numerous occasions and also sells out quickly.

Wines

A review of the wines which will be routinely stocked is in progress, More information will be posted here in due course.

Nibbles

The bar stocks a normal range of crisps and nuts. Again, more information to follow.
