Waste and Recycling

WASTE DISPOSAL The Club is classified as commercial premises for waste disposal purposes and is only licensed for the disposal of its own domestic refuse. Even this must be pre-sorted and recycling facilities are provided:

  • Plastics, paper, card and cans in the bins behind the clubhouse, outside the Beer Cellar,
  • Glass in the Bottleman bin marked "Mixed Glass".

HAZARDOUS WASTE MUST NOT BE PLACED IN THE CLUB BINS as this could result in a significant fine being imposed.

Oil Waste must be taken off site (Trouts Boatyard or Central Garage at the top of Exe Street may be able to assist), alternatively use Devon County Council Recycling sites in Exeter or Exmouth.

Club Members should remove their own rubbish from the Club Premises and dispose of it themselves via their normal refuse collection or appropriate special methods of disposal. Exceptionally, small quantities of Glass bottles may be put in the Bottleman glass bin for 'Mixed Glass'.
