Final Fling

The Final Fling, an informal rally of the cruiser fleet over a weekend at the end of September, is the traditional last cruising event of the club's calendar.

In recent years we've visited either Brixham or Torquay, with the club organising mooring together in the harbour for those who sail round. This is not a race, so members make their own way to the destination at their leisure, depending of course on tide and weather. Some members choose to drive if the weather doesn't co-operate. There is normally a light-hearted challenge to be undertaken by participants to be completed whilst sailing to the rally, which is set by the previous year's winner to win the 'Golden Bullet Cup' as judged by the commodore and cruiser captain. There is a meal for all participants who want to attend at a local yacht club in the evening.

Participants make their own way back to Topsham or on to other destinations on the Sunday. Hauling out of the cruiser fleet normally commences in the days and weeks following this event.

To join in, please book a ticket via the TSC website.
