How to upload a personal or boat photo

Prepare, in advance, by selecting the personal and/or boat photos you want to upload.

Name them with exact, short names so they can be identified from others.

Save them somewhere on your computer so that you can find them when SCM asks you to do so.

Log on to the Members' Portal.

To upload a personal photo:

  1. Go to 'My profile'. At the top, see where it says 'Photo' and, in a rectangular box, 'Choose File'. A file management system will open up.
  2. Now go to the place where you saved your named photos, and select the one you want. It will now be downloaded from your computer and saved securely within TSC's document store in SCM.
  3. Press 'Save changes' at the bottom!
  4. It will now appear on the Members' Directory and other places in SCM. Bravo!

To upload a boat photo:

  1. Go to 'My boats' and either click on 'Add a new boat' if you need to add details as well, or, if your boat is already in the system, just click on the boat name.
  2. In either case, to add a photo, go to the bottom of the form and see where it says 'Uploads'.
  3. In the rectangular box, click 'Upload a File'. A file management system will open up.
  4. Now go to the place where you saved your named photos, and select the one you want. It will now be downloaded from your computer and saved securely within TSC's document store in SCM.
  5. Press 'Save', at the bottom!
  6. It will now appear on the Boat Directory and other places in SCM. Also Bravo!

You can play with this. You are very unlikely to break it!

In any event, once your photo is 'in', there is a 'remove' box to tick too if you don't like it!
