1.1	Patrick Robertson started the meeting by congratulating, Neal & Debbie Ricket= ts, Our Commodore & his wife on the arrival of Kate their first daughter = born earlier on the day of the meeting. Mother and baby doing well.

3.0<= /o:p>	= Minutes of the previous meeting – Autumn 2004	&n= bsp;
3.1	Patrick Robertson read the minutes of the Autumn meeting. All agreed that th= ese were a true record of events and they were unanimously accepted. =
3.2	Patrick Roberts= on thanked Neal Ricketts for standing in for him at that meeting due to his = own illness.
4.0	Cruiser Fleet Captains Report
4.1=	The fixture card this season was in a slightly revised format due to comments from members to make it a little more ‘user friendly’. The evening races were now numbered, of= fshore races are noted in italics and major events were in bold type.=
4.2	The sailing programme for the forthcoming seas= on was briefly discussed and the major events highlighted.=
5.0	Course Changes
5.1=	A proposal was = tabled to keep the courses the same for another season. Carried
5.2	Jo= hn Baynes suggested that Ting Tong Buoy might be best rounded to port for the Spring & September plate series to avoid conflict with the yawl fleet. This was discussed a= nd rejected It was agree= d that the cruiser Capt. would advise the yawl fleet Capt. of our course and that they note this for their sailing instructions.	PR
5.3=	The cruiser sai= ling instructions were being re written and will be available shortly in plent= y of time for the first race.	PR
5.4	All were advised that the 2005-2008 Rules of sailing would apply to all TSC races this year. Copies of the rules are availabl= e from all good bookstalls & RYA	All
5.5	Offshore Events: A proposal was tabled to ‘change’ the Francis Thompson Trophy race from being a race around the Range Buoys to perhaps a race to Brixham. The meeting was shocked at this proposal as this race had ‘always been around the Range Buoys’ and not seeking to part with tradition this proposal foundered.
5.6	The venue for the ‘Final Fling’ was proposed as Dartmouth with craft being moored in Darthaven Marina overnight with perhaps a meal= at RDYC. PR to advise RD= YC of the proposal.	PR
6.0=	Yard Marshal’s Report
6.1	Bill Rickets advised that one boat, Red Fox, h= ad already been launched from the club this season. Others are due to follow during = the Easter break due mainly to favourable tides. 24 March for 4 days on both tides. Breakfast will be available at the Club.
6.2=	Bill advised th= at the first race was on 17 April and advised all to be prepared to launch to ea= se the movement of boats in the yard.	All cruiser owners
6.3	The next set of suitable tide was not until the 7-10 April
6.4	The Yard ‘clear up’ will be held o= n 10 April 05 starting at 0930. = All hands required easing the workload. Boat owners were reminded that they should ‘clear up’ after themselves during fitting out works to avoid the large clean up operation. Personal rubbish= to be taken home with them.	All cruiser owners
7.0=	Social E= vents
7.1	Clive Shepperd gave an overview of the very fu= ll social scene at TSC. Sounds= like a good season ahead.
8.0	Any Other Business	&n= bsp;
8.1	Volunteers are required for start boat duty for the Spring Series. Names to Cruiser Capt.
8.2	Volunteers are required to provide Start boats= for the yawl only races. Again = names to Cruiser Capt.
8.3	A suggestion was made that whilst racing in the hours of darkness that competitors should consider displaying ‘deck level’ lights as opposed to masthead tri lights. All agreed that this was a good = idea, but some boats cannot comply, as to do so would put them in breech of the collision Regs by displaying a steaming light, indicating to others that = they are a motor boat. Common se= nse will prevail amongst TSC members who will ensure that sailing remains a non-contact sport.
